How to Order
Before your SCG consultation, consider the following:
- Location of event or promotional signage
- Target audience
- Your budget
- The message your signage should convey
Confirm the following information:
- Name of event
- Time, date and location
- Contact information, who should SCG contact with questions
Plan ahead
Contact SCG for a consultation at least two weeks before your design project is needed. So, if you want to advertise two weeks prior to your event, contact SCG four weeks before event. Call or e-mail to schedule a consultation. To save time, bring all components of your project when you come in. SCG cannot begin your project until all components (fonts, text, images, etc.) are ready. Be prepared to spend a few minutes discussing your order, submitting logos, photographs and completing the order form. The order form must have a reasonable due date.
When your job is complete, SCG will contact you to schedule pick-up or delivery of your project. If you order a banner to be hung in the Student Center Building, it will be hung no sooner than two weeks before your event and removed the day after your event. If you would like to keep the banner, you will have one week to pick it up from SCG after it has been taken down.
Large format printing tips
We can design your signage, or you can design it and we will print it. If you choose to design your artwork, please contact SCG for correct specifications. If it needs to be reformatted, a design fee will be charged.
Acceptable file formats:
- Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
- Adobe Photoshop (.psd)
- Adobe PDF (.pdf)
- Encapsulated Post Script (.eps)
To avoid font issues in Illustrator, convert text to paths. Include special fonts in a project folder when submitting your order for print. Include linked files.
Unless a specialty paper is ordered, all signage is printed on HP Bright White Inkjet paper.
